This 9-week course aims to teach primary-aged kids the foundations of playing the ukulele and music theory. This programme is designed for children who are absolute beginners and eager to try something new! The Ukulele club will focus on teamwork and collaboration as we work together to prepare a final showcase of what we’ve learnt. We will pair the practical aspect of playing the ukulele with some foundational music theory, such as reading chord charts, basic note names, and rhythms, so that participants can build their “musical kete” and apply the teachings of this class to other instruments or contexts.
