Learn the mindful art of Sashiko, a Japanese stitching technique that transforms worn clothing into something beautiful and uniquely yours. This beginner’s workshop will walk you through an introduction to Sashiko sewing, a practical mending method and creative expression. We will cover a hole with a patch using a cross-pattern ideal for beginners. No sewing experience is needed, just a willingness to slow down and stitch with purpose. You can bring your own clothing that has a hole or wear, or practice on our fabric.

Please note:

- All materials necessary for this workshop are provided.
- Spaces are limited so register as soon as possible.
- The workshop held on Friday 12 September at the Meteor has a required $20 entrance fee, which enables you to attend Thrifty Threads before or after the workshop.
