When you get items out from the Library, it is important they are returned in the same condition. If they get damaged, either at home or while you are still in the library, you may be responsible for paying for a replacement copy or part.
Damaged items are defined as:
-
Having pages defaced, torn or missing that cannot be repaired or replaced.
-
Having a chewed, ripped or mangled cover or casing.
-
Being wet, mouldy or warped.
-
Being soiled by food, dirt or other substances.
-
Being soiled by bodily fluids.
-
Missing parts that make the item unusable.
-
Having other severe damage not specified above.
Incomplete items are defined as:
-
Materials returned with one or more missing part, i.e. disc, booklet, bag, case, book cover, insert or display card.
Replacement items:
We will accept replacement items from customers, provided the item is in new condition, is the same format and has the same publication date or newer. A processing fee of $6.00 is still required. We will accept an exact replacement item from a Kit, with no added processing fee, at the discretion of the Kohinga/Lending Collections Leader.
