Regular Youth and Teen events
Do you want to command your own army to victory, become a Grandmaster, or just have some fun? Well Tyro Chess is the place for you to do it!
In these classes, you will learn everything from board setup and game rules to simple strategies. There will be a range of skills in the group, so you’ll be paired with players of similar ability.
The Cosplay Collaborative is a place where cosplayers of all levels can meet and learn more about cosplay or work on a project. This fortnightly workshop is a place where we will share our skills, such as sewing, 3D printing, foam work, and more. From concept to completion, you are welcome to work on a cosplay at any stage.
This programme is suitable for both teens and adults.
Creative Play drop-in sessions are open to all ages and abilities.
These experiential sessions are for those who would like an introduction into art, or to explore different mediums without the pressure of producing 'perfect products', as well as people who want to use the space to create their own work. It is a time for creative freedom and play.
A night for board game fans to come together and play!
Many board games are available but feel free to bring one if you’d like. Adults and teens welcome.
Join us for an evening of creativity and camaraderie at Make and Mend, hosted by Waikato TimeBank. Gather your handcrafts, knitting needles, sewing kits, or projects that need attention. Whether you’re an experienced crafter or a novice exploring your creative side, come join us on the last Thursday of each month and enjoy making and mending with like-minded individuals.
Suitable for adults, teens, and older children.
Are you 10 to 15 years old and interested in learning the basics of drawing, from proportions to composition? Do you love to gain new skills and have fun? Join our Young Artists programme and create your own piece of art! Absolute beginners welcome!
