Elisabeth Easther is an actor, journalist and award-winning playwright from right here in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton. Best known for playing the villainous Nurse Carla on Shortland Street, Elisabeth also hosted the top-rated remake of the 1960s television series Islands of the Gulf. A prolific book reviewer, Elisabeth has appeared on RNZ National, Cleo Magazine, TimeOut London, The NZ Herald and The NZ Listener. A book lover from way back, if reading were an Olympic sport, Elisabeth would be a contender to represent her country.
