Workshop 1 - Nurture Nature
Tuesday 10 February

Discover how to cultivate patience, curiosity, and a love for nature in this gardening workshop.

Kids will learn about:

• Simple ways to grow food at home — using seeds, cuttings or easy starter plants
• Setting up a small garden space using everyday containers or pots
• Introducing the idea of “mini food forests” using just 2–3 layers
• A hands-on planting activity children can take home and continue growing.

Workshop 2 - Clean and Green
Tuesday 17 February

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to create cost – effective and environmentally friendly cleaning products for your home. Discover how common, natural ingredients like baking soda, lemon, and essential oils can be transformed into powerful all- purpose cleaners and gentle scrubs that are safe for your whaanau and the planet.

Workshop 3 - Upcycle and Grow
Tuesday 24 February

Give new life to everyday items and create charming, eco-friendly planters! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to transform upcycled paper, cardboard, and household containers into beautiful homes for your plants.

Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is highly encouraged. 

Please note children under 14 must always be accompanied by a caregiver in our libraries.
