We are excited to offer this series of workshops and share the love of Taonga Puoro. Join Koroheke Robb and library staff. Come along once per week, for three weeks, to learn more about these very special taonga.

Sign up today to learn:

  • The meaning and significance of taonga puoro.

  • Waiata and karakia that relate to taonga puoro.

  • How to craft your own taonga puoro from clay.

  • How to craft your own taonga puoro using 3D printing technology.

  • And how to play taonga puoro too!

We recommend that participants bring an apron or big shirt to protect clothing while working with clay. Places are limited, so register today to secure your spot in the class.

This event is a part of our our Kaitiaki Campaign! We’d love for you and your whole whaanau to explore the other events and find something perfect for you. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
