Make a mini book zine like no other, we’ll provide all sorts of papers for you to get creative and make a junk book zine to take home.

We’ll upcycle cardboard from food boxes for our covers and cut and organise our pages which could be old envelopes, have colouring in on one side, be coloured paper or many other things. We’ll do a little bit of sewing to attach our pages together but don’t worry we’ll walk through the steps, so it’ll be easy. Then we’ll use the threads as a tie to hold our scrappy books closed! For children aged 7-13 years.

Make sure to register below as spots are limited!

This workshop is an event that is part of Zinefest - our main event is held at Hamilton Central Library on the 9th May. Zines are short run, self-published magazines that allow your imagination to run wild! Full of comics, collage, fan-art, photo essays and more, Zines draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere.

Children under 14 must always be accompanied by a caregiver in our libraries.
