If you’re a beginner to sewing machines or already know what you’re doing, join us for some sewing workshops!

Patching Holes and Patch Pockets
Tuesday 20 January at Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library
Wednesday 28 January at Dinsdale Library

Got a favourite shirt or tote bag with a hole to patch, or one that could use a pocket? Bring it along!
We’ll provide fabric (though it might not match perfectly) and show you how to sew, repair, and add patches and pockets to make your clothes or bag more fun and functional.
Perfect for beginners—come learn, create, and give your gear a new life!

All materials and fabric will be provided, bring your sewing machine or reserve one of ours.

Knot Bag Workshop
Wednesday 21 January at Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library
Tuesday 27 January at Dinsdale Library

Join us for a hands-on sewing machine workshop where you’ll learn how to create a stylish knot bag. You’ll be able to choose the fabric you want to make your personalised bag from. We’ll walk you through basic sewing machine skills, so everyone is welcome to attend even absolute beginners. You’ll be able to take your project away with you.

All materials and fabric will be provided, bring your sewing machine or reserve one of ours.

Please note: Sessions are suitable for teens and adults. Spaces are limited for both sessions, please register to secure your spots.
