Reading the World Differently: Understanding Epilepsy Through Two Children's Stories
Join us for a warm, family‑friendly author event exploring epilepsy through the power of children’s storytelling. Sharon Holt, the author of two books about epilepsy will share short interview moments and read both stories aloud, followed by a relaxed audience Q&A.
Epilepsy Waikato Charitable Trust has created a set of simple, child‑friendly displays alongside the event, helping visitors understand what epilepsy is, and clear up common myths. These displays will be featured alongside a special Hamilton Libraries collection of books where epilepsy appears in the stories.
All ages welcome. Free to attend.
A calm, sensory‑considerate environment will be provided.
Please note children under 14 must always be accompanied by a caregiver in our libraries.
