Festival of Adult Learning – Adult Learners Week
Join Hamilton City Libraries as we celebrate Adult Learners' Week - He Tangata Maatauranga 2026.
As part of the Festival Hamilton City Libraries is hosting a number of events to highlight and celebrate the vital role of adult and community education in fostering personal and societal growth.
The theme for Adult Learners' Week 2026 is Finding Our Voice - Ko tōku reo, ko tōku ohooho! (My language or voice is my awakening power). We are hopeful that this theme provides scope to explore a range of lifelong learning issues and ideas such as:
- how lifelong learning can help us find our unique and powerful voice
- the importance of having a voice in an election year
- being informed and having the confidence to speak up on issues
- self-determination
- the power of the collective voice in communities
