Dive into new genres, discover hidden mihiwai (gemstones) at our libraries, and let your imagination soar as you choose your next great read with Ngaa Tae o Hootoke: Colours of Winter Reading Programme!
How does it work?
Pick up a card from one of our libraries for the Winter Reading Programme starting Monday 23 June. The card will have eight ngaa mihiwai on it. Borrow and read books that have covers matching the colours of ngaa mihiwai. Once you've read four or more books, return the card to your library or email a picture of it to our Libraries Digital Team. Make sure to write your name and your library card number on the back of the card. For each card you collect and complete, you will be entered into a draw for prizes.
Please see the terms and conditions for participating in our Reading Programmes.
