Digitisation Station now available!

The Ngaa Koorero Tuku Iho teams are very excited to announce a new service now available at Level 3 of Central Library!

Our very own digitisation station is now in place and available for anyone to use, free of charge.

The station is currently equipped with two scanners and a lightbox for viewing negatives.

The large flatbed scanner scans directly to USB and can produce JPEG, TIFF or PDF files in a range of resolutions. A4 is the biggest document size that can comfortably fit on this scanner.

The overhead scanner does require some staff assistance to set up but once underway, it can produce JPEG and PDF files, also in a range of resolutions. This scanner can comfortably scan up to A3 sized documents and is perfect for more fragile items or bound volumes that can sit flat.

No booking is required for this service, however customers will need to bring their own USB to save their files to.

Our staff are happy to assist with any queries you may have about digitising your family images and documents.

Contact the team via the research enquiry form if you have further questions about this service.
