In 1928, teams from the Hamilton Rugby Union who were not competing for the Peace Cup, were competing for the Clarke Cup. This flier is promoting the final, which was played at Rugby Park on September 8, 1928 between City (maroon) and Old Boys (red and black). The line up from each team is also listed. The Waikato Times 8 o’clock edition from the same day listed the result, with City victorious 12 to 9.
