Here is a programme for the British Drama League Waikato Area Sixth Annual Festival. Over three days in July 1941, eight groups from around the Waikato performed at the Winter Show Hall. The festival was adjudicated by Miss Beatrice Mackenzie from Auckland and the Piopio Drama Society’s “The Tinker’s Wedding”, produced by Mr Haswell Paine was crowned the winner.
