If you have made zines before, join us and create, or learn what zines are and make your first one! Participants will make their own single-page collage, which the group will put together and copy so everyone can take home a copy of the collaborative zine! Materials will be provided.

Zines are short-run, self-published magazines that allow your imagination to run wild! Full of comics, collage, fan art, photo essays, and more, zines draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere.

Horiana Henderson discovered the wonderful world of zines at a collaborative collage workshop just like the one she is now running. She loves the way zines allow people to express their ideas and passions in uniquely personal ways and is looking forward to helping kids and teens experience the fun of being a zinester.

Kids Collaborative Collage is part of Zinefest. We invite you to join us on the final day of Zinefest at the Central Library on Saturday 17 May. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet Hamilton’s top creatives as they showcase their zines and other amazing work.

Only limited spaces available - please register below to secure your spot!

Please note children under 14 must always be accompanied by a caregiver in our libraries.
