Bring the whaanau, a picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy sitting in the sunshine at Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library for an afternoon filled with fun and excitement. Or nibble on a delicious snack available to buy from the onsite café Chapter One whilst enjoying the lively music from our fantastic DJ who will be keeping the energy high and the atmosphere vibrant!
For those looking for a bit more action, bring along your skateboard and scooter to ride in the skatepark or just enjoy a gentle swing in the playground.
There will also be Storytime sessions with engaging tales to spark imagination and creativity, a colouring station for unleashing your artistic flair, and a face-painting corner to add a splash of colour.
Dress up as your favourite book or story character, and you could win a spot prize for being the best dressed. And for Summer Reading Programme participants don’t forget to collect your certificate to make this celebration a true highlight of your summer reading journey.
