Brewing up a storm

In terms of the brewing industry, is this scene now a seldom seen scene? This large accumulation of pint beer bottles is by far the greatest number I have ever seen but in the day, was it common even at a brewery? These beer crates were near a foot high (300mm) making this stack at its highest, a wee bit under ten feet – that’s approx. 2.8 metres. The crates were on pallets with five high per pallet. In bigger cities years ago there was a company that did all the recycling and cleaning – have these bottles been there? Nowadays, the breweries only use new bottles. There were thousands of legendary yarns about stones and bits of tree and small knives in bottles of beer. Maybe these should have been checked, just in case.
