Children's Day, or Día del Niño, in Latin America is a vibrant celebration of youth, hope, and community, recognizing the preciousness and potential of every child.

Together with the Hamilton Colombian Community Trust and the Waikato Hispano Latino Trust, we will celebrate Día del Niño at Central Library on Saturday 2 November!

We offer heaps of activities for kids including Bilingual Storytime (in Spanish and English), games, paper craft, live music and dancing, and traditional Latin American food (free for kids). We've prepared prizes for the most active participants. Come to the event dressed-up in costumes and take part in a raffle to win a main prize!

Día del Niño schedule:

10.30am: Opening of the event
11am: Bilingual Storytime
1pm-2pm: Free lunch for kids*
3pm: Prizegiving and raffle draw
3.30pm: End of event

*Please note: Parents/caregivers take responsibility for their children's dietary requirements and allergies. The organiser takes responsibility for food and sweets they provide only.
