ArcadeLAB will see students progress through a variety of tutorials aimed at developing their skills and techniques in building their own 80s style arcade game using Microsoft Makecode. After gaining a grasp of the basics and some inspiration, students will then design and create their own game!
CodeLAB is an interactive programme for those interested in learning how to code basic programs using Python, a great, beginner-friendly coding language! The sessions will involve several interactive exercises to develop your skills and put your coding abilities to the test as well as a pack full of useful information to collect. Please note this is for those completely new to coding. Give it a go!
The LAB - Libraries mobile makerspace programme is an interactive programme for young people which engages them in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) and engenders a passion for learning. In the LAB for teens, students will imagine, design, and create a variety of projects, from circuits to coding, terrariums to TinkerCad throughout the term!
