Join local researcher Brent Fernandez to hear about his research into the families of the Northern Wairoa area, some of whom also bear links to the Waikato.

For a number of years Brent Fernandez has been researching the history of the families attached to the baches at Glinks Gully, a beach holiday spot near Dargaville.

The research has involved recording the family make-ups, history and first arrivals in New Zealand; and also given rise to better understanding the history of the District. It’s hoped the project will soon morph into a website related to that area. The list extends to at least 104 families.

This talk gives an insight into Brent's experiences, his evolution of documenting those histories, and how his journey now benefits his ongoing work & discoveries.
