This flier lists the teams from Hamilton and Pukekohe who played a rugby football match at Pukekohe on 23 July, 1927. Prior to the game, it was reported in the Waikato Times that the selectors had a depleted field to choose from, with some players having other commitments to the Waikato team and two others injured. Reports from the paper following the game state that the Pukekohe team were too strong on their home ground, with the final score 19 – 3. Over the same weekend, Waikato triumphed over Auckland while Canada trounced New Zealand at soccer 4-1, in the final test of a series of four.
