What is it?
It is a head-mounted virtual reality device that provides augmented reality experience for the wearer. Virtual reality headsets are widely used with video games but they are also being used in other applications, including simulators and trainers.
The Oculus Quest VR headset is simple to set up. Connect it to your phone or computer and get transported to different worlds! It allows you to be mobile because it is completely standalone meaning all the software is built in. You need only put it on to begin experiencing a range of interactive VR experiences, no external connection needed. The headset will always be casting to a screen externally during use to ensure Staff can monitor and assist when needed.
The Oculus VR headset is available at both of our Auaha locations for use by anyone who wants to try it. Just speak to our friendly Auaha librarian.
